DC Fashion Week | Corjor International |Show Review

This week, DC's Fashion Week took place & the ladies of V O G U E | Diaspora were invited to one of the most anticipated events; The Corjor International Show. For those who are not familiar, the line is actually produced by creator of DC Fashion Week, Ean Williams. I was fortunate enough to hear Mr. Williams speak at a fashion panel here at Howard, & let me be the first to say that he is amazingggg. But enough is enough . . .on to the fashion . . .

Of course, this was Corjor's F/W 2012 collection and the primary colors were red & black. The looks were more monochromatic which is a breath of fresh air from all the color blocking we see during spring. The models even wore red lips to match with their gowns & it turned our beautiful.

While there were a few cocktail length dresses in the show, the full length gowns took center stage. Some were slim & slinky while others were loose and voluminous. The two mixed together made magic.

There was lots of glamour within all the pieces, including the menswear. Ean drew from everything from silk and suede to sequins which is especially refreshing in men's pieces. The detailing accompanied by luxury fabrics gave it oomph. I loved every second of it.
